French journalist Nicolas Lellouche, writing for Numerama, shared some additional details on social media. The outlet, Numerama, has been compared to the French version of The Verge and is considered very reliable.

Lellouche revealed on social media that Genki isn't the only accessory maker to leak Switch 2 at CES 2025.

In fact, he noted that "several accessory manufacturers showed off mockups of the console and its accessories." They also heard from Genki, who claimed to have a real Switch 2.

When a fan asked about the Switch 2's release date, Lellouche said "everyone was saying April" was when the console would actually launch.
