Recently, the drama sequel "Blade Runner 2099" of the movie "Blade Runner 2049" has officially been completed and the official post-production process has recently started. The series has ten episodes in total and is expected to be released on the Amazon Prime Video platform in 2025.

This series is produced by the core team of the "Blade Runner" series "Alcon Entertainment" and "Scott Free Productions", and the "Shogun" director Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first two episodes. The story tells the story of Cora (played by Hunter Schaffer), who is good at hiding herself in various identities and has been hiding and running away all her life. In order to provide a stable future for her brother, she fabricated yet another identity and reluctantly teamed up with a blade runner named Olwen (Michelle Yeoh) who was nearing the end of her life. The two become embroiled in an escalating conspiracy that plunges the city fighting for its rebirth into a life-or-death moment.
