IO Interactive studio officially announced a new game in the James Bond series called "007 First Light".

This game will lead players to deeply explore the origins of James Bond and personally experience how this legendary agent earned his identity as "007" step by step.

Officials emphasized that this is a brand-new story that will not be directly related to other James Bond media content, but will draw inspiration from classic books and movies, striving to present a familiar yet fresh Bond image.

The game will combine first-person and third-person perspectives and adopt a sandbox narrative style similar to the "Hitman" series. This game uses the Glacier engine and will be released in 2026.
