Shebara Resort, one of the most forward-looking hotels on the planet, officially opened in November. It stands out with its unique metal spherical design, which embraces the stunning scenery while highlighting the concept of a sustainable future.
The resort is located in the Al Wajh Lagoon. To reach the resort, travelers need to choose seaplane or private boat as transportation. This mode of transportation adds uniqueness and privacy to the resort.
Shebara Resort is designed by Killa Design. The design team deeply understands the importance of harmonious coexistence with nature and is committed to creating a unique holiday experience for tourists on the basis of maintaining the local ecological balance.
The hotel's accommodation and public areas are built above the coral reef, and the impact of the support structure on the seabed is strictly controlled to a minimum. This unique concept is finally presented as a residential capsule suspended above the ocean, bringing passengers a new living experience beyond the ground. Passengers can watch all kinds of marine life that thrive in the sea through the outdoor deck.
The hotel has 73 guest rooms, and the water villas are like a string of pearls floating on the turquoise water. The circular design symbolizes unity, integration and completeness. The stainless steel surface can clearly reflect the colorful colors of the sea, sky and coral reefs. As the light flows, the villa sphere gradually disappears on the horizon and blends into the surrounding natural environment.
The beachfront villa is perched on the beach. The exterior design is inspired by sand dunes. The curves and contours are natural and smooth, forming a harmonious visual effect with the surrounding environment and reducing the sense of obtrusion. Each room is equipped with a deck, swimming pool, and close to nature through spacious and bright open spaces.
The interior design of the hotel was completed by Studio Paolo Ferrari, which combines elements of "naturalism" and "futurism", not only looking forward to the future, but also reflecting profound humanistic care. The spatial layout draws inspiration from luxury yachts, with in-depth attention to detail and high-end and elegant decoration style.
In terms of color, the resort mainly uses neutral tones, creating a tranquil, relaxing and elegant environment. The designers chose natural and environmentally friendly materials such as wood, stone and glass to show respect for the natural environment. In addition, local climate conditions were fully considered, and natural ventilation and shading design strategies were used to effectively reduce energy consumption.
Native plants can be found throughout the resort, and water harvesting technology is used to direct rainwater into micro-catchment gardens, which not only promotes plant growth but also provides a flood protection barrier for the resort. This measure not only creates a new habitat for organisms, but also further enriches the natural ecology of the island.
