The ownership and management responsibilities of 19 state-owned enterprise groups in Vietnam will be transferred to various ministries and commissions. State-owned giants such as Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Electric Power Group and Postal Communication Group will be managed by relevant departments, and the remaining departments and personnel of SASAC will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance. This reform marks an unprecedented change in the management of state-owned enterprises in Vietnam.
European and American countries paid attention to the positive performance of Vietnam, and the European Union announced that it would cancel 99% tariffs with Vietnam. The Vietnamese Prime Minister even claimed that communist party, Vietnam, would be the first communist party in history to voluntarily give up power, and promised to realize democratic elections. This series of measures shows that Vietnam is trying to establish a country that recognizes universal values, emphasizes judicial independence, prohibits government officials from concurrently serving as deputies to the National Assembly, and requires the Supreme Court to try corruption cases of senior leaders. The communist party of Vietnam claims that democratic elections will be held within five years.
